I know this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this, and I can also guarantee with 100% certainty that it won’t be last – my boy is leaving for the Navy soon. I feel like the time is flying by, and I’m a little in denial. My brain seems to be under the impression that if it squashes the thought whenever it pops up, it won’t happen. Actually, it’s probably my heart doing that.
Anyway, tomorrow is his 20th birthday, so today I wanted to talk about something that relates to his life right now. When I started searching for Navy crafts the anchors dominated, so in honor of our sailor, enjoy!
Fortunately I love anchors as a design element, since I’m seeing a few of them in my future. I’d love to start with this print from RainbowsLollipopsArt on Etsy.
Can you believe this anchor from Burton Avenue started out as cardboard?
The weathered look and anchor are perfect together on this end table from Dear Emmeline.
I am seriously in love with this anchor pillow from Camelot Fabrics. So many fabric options…
I love the use of rope with the anchor in this art piece from Polished Habitat.
And also in these coasters from Hi Friend.
You can’t have unanchored cupcakes, so check out these candy melt toppers from Sugar Bee Crafts.
This Marquee Anchor from Simple Stylings would make great outdoor décor.
This Nautical Storage Tote From The Kim Six Fix is a great repurposing of a cat litter container.
I’ve never tried string art, but I think I would enjoy it. This project from Kaliedub would be a great place to start.
